Checklist

Before submitting your artwork, please check the following:

  • All fonts are included.
  • The type is legible and crisp.
  • The page layout is correct.
  • Margins are set.
  • The artwork matches the specified dimensions.
  • All linked files, images, and fonts are placed in separate folders.
  • Colors are in CMYK mode.

Small Format Prints

For small format prints, ensure the presence of Bleed and Crop Marks.

Large Format Prints

When supplying Illustrator (Ai), PDF, or EPS files for large format prints:

  • Embed images.
  • Supply images as CMYK at 100dpi at final output size.
  • Maintain 1000 dpi for images if the layout is scaled down to 10%.
  • Avoid compressing images in PDF files.

Logo

Logos and graphics should ideally be provided in vector format.

Transparencies

If your artwork includes transparent elements, flatten and/or rasterize them. This includes drop shadows, glows, and other effects.

Fonts

Ensure that fonts are either embedded or converted to outlines.

Bleeds

Add a 1/8″ border to pictures and designs bleeding to the edge to prevent white space or borders around the artwork.

Finish Size

This is the final size that your artwork will be trimmed down to.

Safe-Area

Keep text at least 1/4″ away from the paper edge or trim line to prevent accidental cropping.

Image Resolutions

  • All images and pictures should be 300 dpi.
  • Rasterized text or logos should be 1200 dpi.
  • Screen values should be between 133 dpi and 150 dpi.

Colour Specifications

  • Print previews are not a reliable tool for colour accuracy.
  • Specify Pantone colours for spot colour jobs.
  • Ensure all colours are in CMYK mode for accuracy.

Guidelines by Application

Specific file requirements by application:

Adobe Photoshop

  • Files should be 300 dpi at 100% of actual size.
  • Save files in PDF format, embedding all fonts.

Digital Proofs

We provide PDF files as electronic soft proofs. For extreme colour accuracy, request a hard copy proof.

By adhering to these guidelines, you contribute to a smooth production process, ensuring your exhibition materials reflect the quality and professionalism Beaumont Exhibits is known for. If you have any questions, please contact our team of expert professionals.
